Anyone ever gotten moles removed in
Taiwan?
My father has assured me my entire life that there are good things about
being Irish, though there also appear to be lots of curses -- one of which
is what our dermatologist refers to as our "cheap Irish skin." I
don't know if there is anyone in my family over thirty who hasn't
had skin cancer. My father himself has had somewhere around ten melanomas
(I've lost count), and as I'm writing this, my uncle is in chemo for a
melanoma.
Luckily, we're cognizant of our deficiency, and we've caught most of these
cases early enough. I've been getting moles removed since I was about
twelve, and for a while, I went once a month to get a couple taken off and
sent to the lab. All benign so far, but I'm getting older and -- I'm sure,
as a result -- less lucky.
Right now, I have a mole on my leg that looks suspicious. It appears to be
changing colors a little, so I want to go get it (and perhaps some others)
removed if I can.
I've looked at forumosa, and the
only really promising I found was this Dr.
Huang on Shi Da Lu (師大路). I'm
wondering if anyone has any experience with this here in Taiwan. If so,
please leave a comment or write me an email. I'd really like to make sure
I've got the best guy I can find cuttin' on me.
Thanks

I've been to a good one. He's at a hospital out near Danshui... can't remember the name of it. I'm thinking that it is between the Guandu and Xinyi stations. I'll get back to you with more info, but wanted to leave this immediately so you'd know.
I really appreciate it!
Thanks.
OK got the info now.
The hospital is called "Koo Foundation Sun Yat Sen Cancer Center" and it is closest to the Zhongyi MRT station. (I mistakenly typed Xinyi in the other comment)
Here is a link to a map where the hospital is located.

A coworker went to him first and had several removed... then I went... and then another coworker... all of us have been very happy with his skill and understanding we face since we have lighter skin.
