I mentioned a couple of weeks ago what you might see if you just take a look
around. Even your
daily walk to work can reveal things you were not aware of.
To my surprise, the other day, the poster which displays a woman of abundant
breast that was once hidden behind the water tanks of this building had been
moved to a more conspicuous local -- that is, in front of the water tanks.
Now, one can read that the banner is actually an advertisement for a
gentleman named Karl.
Karl Kani, to be more specific.
I did some research and it turns out that Mr. Kani is a hip-hop designer
(link has music, beware) who, among other things, was friends with Tupac
Shakur. I get the impression that he's European, or he just has a lot of
parties there.
He apparently designs women's attire
as well, though you wouldn't guess from the ad.
Anyhoo, that's really not the reason why I'm writing it. I find it really
strange that the
banner is displayed here, where someone who walks by everyday could easily
miss it. Not only that, if their intention really is draw business from
boobs -- which I hear is highly effective -- they don't even have a sign
that tells you what store it is that is prepared to barter Kani for cash.
You litterally have to count the buildings from the corner and go around the
block to the other side to what I believe is a Puma store.
